Calamus Trip Part II

Calamus Ride Continued





After bidding the creek a good-bye, I continued on.

I took a water break by this beautiful sandhills pond.

Rode passed the fish hatchery.

On by the Calamus River outlet at the dam.

Along the lush green valley

And back to Burwell. So long Calamus dam.

Total time on the bike; 2:38:48

Total distance: 40.10 miles.

Average Speed: 15.1.

It was a beautiful day for a bike trip.

Sunny with an east-southeast wind of about 12-15 mph. Temperature; 72 at beginning 89 at end.

Ride Around Calamus Lake

Took a morning ride around Calamus Resevouir this morning. Left at 7:15 and returned at 10:20. Total Trip distance 40 miles from Rodeo Inn Motel.

My First Post

I'm setting up a blog to keep track of my cycling adventures this summer. I have two big trips planned in July. First up, is the Triple Bypass in Colorado on July 10th, followed up by RAGBRAI the last week in July.

I want to see how well this works and how easy it will be to blog and post pictures from my droid smart phone.
